The No Canada Day Hangover!!

I had the greatest time yesterday for our Canada Day celebrations. We got to see the Barenaked Ladies (a band) for FREE!!! Unfortunately, I was planning on posting my Canada Day Hangover entry, but the concert was a dry event. Huh? Let's just say, we were shocked and appalled. Why would it be a dry event, why no liquor? That didn't make sense, it's Canada Day, we wanted to celebrate and have some Canadian beer. It can't be that there are bratty kids around; bratty kids are around at concerts and sporting events. Idiots!!!! But putting that aside, we had a fabulous time and saw Randy Bachman play first (formerly of The Guess Who and BTO). Then the Ladies came on and I am even more of a fan than I was before. They are amazing live, and worth the no beer!! lol. I got some excellent pics (see below) and some videos too, but I don't want to figure out how to put them on so you'll just to imagine these great videos of the Barenaked Ladies being goofy and singing some great songs!!!

We were sitting in the stands when the concert started but they were allowing everyone to come down so we went to the floor and got pretty close to the ladies. It was an amazing show!!! Gotta love Canadian music!!

We then took the tube, I mean the LRT, underground subway. It was so busy, we felt we were on the Picadilly Line on weekends in London!

Next up, fireworks!!! Unfortunately, they sucked. They were awful, they blew....I think you get the gist! They were so much better last year, amazing last year. This is odd, since this is Alberta's centennial year and they were supposed to be spending a lot of money, second only to Ottawa I heard, on these fireworks. SUCKED!!! Oh well, it was still a fun night, aside from the no beer and crappy fireworks.
